I wait for my husband to get home from work around 10 p.m. last night and decide that I want to watch this movie "Charly" (Mormon church based Movie) with him. We watched the movie together and we both cried....I mean the real "UGLY" kind of cry!!
I was so moved by it's storyline, (which I won't share with you, cuz I want you to watch it) but more so because it helped to remind me of all the wonderful things that I have right here in front of me, that I sometimes take for granted! My husband squeezed me so tight, and I the same with him.
It made me so thankful for this beautiful gospel and for the promise that we have to live together with one another for Eternities to come! That brings me a huge peace of mind knowing that, but I asked myself again "How strong is my faith"???
If you get a chance to find this movie "Charly" by Jack Weyland decide for yourself if you were faced with this challenge who would your faith be more like "Charly or Sam"??? I guarantee if you haven't already seen this TEAR JERKER...it's a must!!

i think i MEANT to watch this a while ago, but didn't quite. you've inspired me to try again tho, don't you love those UGLY CRIES??? lol. oh, and glad that book is good, i need a good read to get me off my END-OF-TWILIGHT SERIES depression. {sigh}

Tommy and I rented this movie when I was pregnant with Nifae. My niece was staying over and we got it for her. We had no idea what the movie was about or that it even was an LDS movie.
ANYWAY, we were full on ugly crying by the end and were feeling a lot like you do now. THanks for reminding me of that fun memory!
If you think "Charly" was a tear jerker, wait til you see the second one called "Sam". Look for it. Its an amazing ugly cry cry boo hoo movie. So you better get out your kleenex and tissues and enjoy.
