No more Hide "N" Seek for Mommy!

It's totally frustrating hunting everywhere for our twins "Binkies" (Pacifier). Our twins literally NEED, hence the word NEED them to fall asleep! It's complete Sanity for Me, when they have them. However they will be 2 years old in November and I've had enough hide and go seek! I find them under my van, in our yard, behind the couch, in our house plants, drawers, in my purse, backpacks, in the shoe box, on the garage floor, under the kitchen cupboard and the list goes on... I hate keeping track of those damn things! A darker side of me, wishes that they sucked their thumb, because atleast that's actually attached to their body~~~~~

My goal is to have them weened off their pacifier before their 2nd birthday, but I'm completely failing in that department.

The worst part about this, is that the twins only take a CERTAIN kind of "Binkie" that used to be readily available at any local Wal-Mart until they decided to make my life miserable and discontinue that line of pacifiers!!!! Ughhh...So I go online and purchase more "Binkies" because I'm down to our very last 2 binkies, that I'm guarding with my life! and because we live in Hawaii they add an extra $40 to my existing purchase price of $20 for shipping, Making a grand total of $60 for some stupid sucky things....ughhh I'm totally feeling the guilt trip of "Enabling the situation!!! So tonight as I get ready to put the twins down for the night, I totally lose both of their "Binkies"...Our very last two...and I'm a wreck, panicked, looney lifting things up all over the place because Jaron and Kennan are screaming!...They finally give up and fall asleep...Thank goodness!...Tomorrow is not going to be a Fun Day for Mom!

This post cracks me up!! I wish my kids would take binkies. I tried everything when they were babies, even dipping them in sugar.
Good luck with your goal, looks like you gave yourself plenty of time... Smart girl!

I remember those terribe binky days with my twins. Especially camping at the Colorado River in 115 degree heat, trying to stay cool, sleeping in the car, and then losing a binky in the sand! Finally found it in the sand the next day, wiped it off, and stuck it back in Carly's mouth. She was happy after that. We survived to live another day :)
